This is an ok American Wheat but to call it a hefeweizen is pushing it. Really lacks any of the phenols you'd associate with a hefeweizen....not cloves, bubble gum, banana, etc...
What it does have is a nice wheaty maltiness....reminds me of Boulevard Wheat....a good basic American Wheat (think Widmer). Solid beer but not to style..
This is a tough one to rate...as an American Wheat it would be in the 3.8-4.0 range but as a hefe it can't go there. I entered it as a hefeweizen because that is what they called it so I'll rate it for that style.
