My sister is a doctor in Acton and when I visit she usually finds me some New England brews to sample. She got a half growler of this for me and I am pretty happy about it.
This pours clear yellow with nice heat. A somewhat happy aroma gets you ready for the robust American ipa this is. It barely has a bite and is very refreshing.
Highly recommended. This brew has a unique hop and malt profile that totally works.

I purchased a full growler to help support the brewery during the covid crisis. I've had a few pints of this before on site and remembered it as good. From the growler, it was OK. Poured it out within minutes of getting home - looked ok, full, on the brown side, though somewhat murky, a little like prune juice. A good head. The taste was not as good as I remembered - this particular batch had an overwhelming yeasty aftertaste. There's some good hoppy herbal notes as well, but takeaway from this particular serving is not great, a little too home brew. Wish I could say differently.

Draft at the brewery
Big pillowy head, great retention and lacing, hazy orange color
Nose hoppy, floral grassy fruity hops, light citrus, light cracker doughy grainy malt
Taste tons of fresh hops, grassy floral slight herbal hops, super dry hop flavor, touch of citrus, little cracker doughy malt, turning to medium bitterness and mild spicy hop with hop oil resin, getting medium higher spicy hop bitterness late
Mouth is med bod, medium higher carb
Overall not bad, solid IPA, good malt balance, nice hop profile

From True West website: 7.3% ABV, 69 IBUs; A light golden colored IPA with brilliant clarity. The judicious use of Mosaic and Amarillo hops give dank aromas of resin and pine sap mixed with tropical fruit aromas of mango and papaya that assault your senses. A firm, but smooth, bitterness is balanced by a slight hint of sweet malt flavor with grassy notes on the finish. This beer will cause a ruckus in your mouth, and should satisfy the hophead in everyone!

Dark amber to light brown color with a haze. Small starting head that reduces to rim bubbles, leaving decent ring / spotty lace.
Bitter in a grapefruit sort of way. Noteworthy toasty malt base but appropriately hoppy.
Starts like an amber but cuts to straight-up bittering hop, lip puckering and nearly extreme in the bite. Solid body with a muted level of hops. I get some home brew like yeast to the tongue as well. Easy to drink, albeit on the bitter side of IPAs.
