it takes two separate pours like a true Irish Stout (nitro pour). Frothy head which leaves several rings of lace. A cross between blanket and spots in between the rings. Deep dark brown color where no light shines through at all.
Surprisingly neutral and mild smell. I do get some light milk to the nose and just a touch cocoa.
The flavor is a step up from the smell. I get burnt black patent and a touch of bittering hop. Dry/no sweetness. The body is decent while the carbonation is elevated. The aftertaste is a cross between an IPA and a dry stout. Long, but subdued aftertaste.
