Delicious citrus flavors with some unique resinous twist lasting in your mouth. This is a solid IPA that should appeal to anyone who is in that style.

A:
It pours hazy gold with a nice two fingers of long-lasting head. Good retention; splotchy lacing. (4.25)
S:
Candied orange, underlying cantaloupe sweetness with citrus rind bitterness. (4)
T:
Tastes similar to the nose. Citrus oil bite foremost, ripe grapefruit and sweet, biscuity malt. (4)
M:
Smooth, with moderate carbonation, well-hidden alcohol and a pretty dry finish for this type of IPA. (4)
O:
A tasty IIPA.
It doesn't really push hard in any one direction, it is just a solid, well-made beer with a nice hop character. It looks good right off the bat. The nose and flavor are both inviting, but very straightforward. Sweet citrus in the nose and grapefruit in the taste. It does a good job (I don't know whether it is intentional or not) of fusing some west coast character into the newer-style IPAs. It is not life-changing, perhaps, but if this were the standard quality of readily available IPAs around these parts, I'd be one happy camper. (4)
