650ml bottle - I suppose that this could also be listed as a wheatwine, but, y'know, lavender and juniper berries, right? Brewed in support of International Women's Day 2018.

This beer pours a slightly hazy, medium golden yellow colour, with three fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and somewhat fizzy dirty white head, which leaves a bit of random splattered lace around the glass as it quickly blows off.

It smells of the lavender oil that my Mom used to always have in her bathroom, some indistinct red berry fruitiness, bready and doughy caramel malt, a lesser crackery wheatiness, white toast, and very subtle earthy, musty, and floral noble hops. The taste is gritty and grainy cereal malt, wet Wheat Thins, estery lavender, still fairly muddled dark fruity notes, a hint of phenolic yeastiness, ethereal wet smoke, and more understated leafy, herbal, and lit-up floral green hoppiness.

The carbonation is pretty laid-back in its innocuous frothiness, the body a so-so middleweight, and mostly smooth, with just a touch of boozy perfume kind of forgetting to use kid gloves here. It finishes off-dry, the mixed malt and floral/fruity essences carrying the lingering day.

Overall - this comes across as a pleasantly rendered, big-ass brew, with both of the adjunct ingredients represented well enough. The 20-proof alcohol measure is likewise expertly integrated, essentially blended into the whole floral thing going on. Worth checking out, I would normally say, but at a production of less than 400 bottles, all I can offer is: good luck!
