pretty modest beer at this abv, especially for the style and the name, but a well made beer, and fail american in its approach. its got a little bit of an amber hue to it, but isnt particularly malty as they go, just a little body and sweetness from the richer grain base, which for me at least is preferable to the adjunct sugars, i like it being all grain, and this sure tastes like it is. the hops are balanced and tame too, comfortable and not unique, but well proportioned and fresh as can be, with a little lagging bitterness staying a bit longer than than grain sugars, but rather dialed in, approachable for the style, and another beeche beer that is high quality and professional tasting, especially compared to a lot of the local competition. this is a style we didnt find a ton of good beers in, so very cool to crash into one this good, tame as it is. on tap at fuego brewery in dominical costa rica, which is a haven of great beer in a very small little surf town. stoked on this brewery overall, and this is a fine clone of a moderate american strong ipa. well done.
