hands down the least impressive of the beeche beers we had on our trip. this one was real generic, a bit underwhelming, and a poor indicator of what these guys are capable of. served from the bottle at lava lounge in la fortuna, costa rica, a better beer town that you would think... clearish red in color, malty smelling and tasting, its bland but familiar, quite obviously modeled on that fat tires and alaskan ambers of the world, with just a bit of hops to the finish, a round mellow body, and bubbly carbonation thats out ahead of the flavor. we did not dislike this one, but felt somewhat let down by in, in that its a local costa rica craft beer purchased at a premium price, but tastes like a million other beers, which may be a compliment to the brewer, depending on what they were going for, but its unexciting to the seasoned craft drinker, and ends up a bit of a wash. serviceable beer, but the least exciting and impressive of the stuff we had from these guys, everything else was seriously awesome. not that i wish we skipped this one, but it does seem a class below their best work.
