this is exactly what the style is supposed to be, nothing more, nothing less, a fuller bodied but majorly easy drinking wheat beer that has a ton of character but is fully in line with what we expect from the traditional examples. delicious stuff, awesome to find it on tap in manuel antonio, and one of those beers you could drink so much of that you forget your are even drinking in the first place. looks the part, super headed too, with a white plume above the beer, sexy and hazy. the yeast character is soft here in favor of the grain it seems, more wheat than the classic banana or clove spice elements, dry and crackery and pale but different than barley too. soft lemon, a protein feel, and more citrus to finish, easy drinking beer if i have ever seen one. some body, great carbonation, and a lively, dry, and easy going beer in the end. simpler than other beeche stuff i came across, but equally well made. granted i had a larger sample size here than a lot of other local breweries, but these guys are easily among the best we had on our trip, whole portfolio considered. quality top to bottom, and this is a darn good hefe!
