Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque black in the glass with a thin dark chocolate head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, chocolate and peanut butter. Flavor is dark toasted malt, dark chocolate, peanut butter and mild vanilla. Chocolate peanut butter finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess and sharp carbonation. A rich, full bodied stout with great peanut butter and quality chocolate aroma and taste. A little vanilla to keep things light. Carbonation is a bit overactive, which gave a little sharpness to the finish. Has the profile of a dessert stout, but with only a light to moderate sweetness, which is exactly the way I like this style; most get a little cloying with a full glass; not the case here. Very nicely done and enjoyable. Looks, smells and tastes great.

16oz can from Half Time. Near black pour, thin silky beige head. Aroma is all peanut butter and chocolate, sweet. Taste follows filling in any spaces with light bitter roasty malts. Creamy, smooth. Having never heard of this brewery before, it surpassed any expectations I had going in. Delectable, sumptuous.

A: Pours an opaque thick viscous jet black in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint dark chestnut brown + dark amber colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense creamy sudsy foamy dark mocha head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thick film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of roasted + toasted + bready + caramel malts with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of lactose sweetness. Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of peanut butter (more like the peanut butter powder) and moderate aromas of marshmallow. Hints of earthy hops and vanilla.
T: Upfront there are moderate to strong flavors of roasted + toasted + bready + caramel malts with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of lactose sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of peanut butter and moderate flavors of marshmallow along with some hints of vanilla. Finally there are hints of earthy hops. Light amounts of roasty bitterness which fades away pretty quickly leaving moderate lingering peanut butter + marshmallow + roasted malt flavors.
M: Full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Thick and almost chewy.
O: Drinks pretty easily considering the strength (higher ABV) with well hidden alcohol and a nice thick full mouthfeel. Enjoyable though sweet (not as sweet as some dessert/pastry stouts but very similar to the sweetness you would get in a peanut butter + fluff sandwich). Really does a great job of hitting the aroma + flavor profile of a peanut butter + fluff sandwich.

L: Poured from a pint can into a sniffer - jet black pour with about 4 fingers length of foam risen to the surface.
S: Notes of molasses, dark fruits, chocolate, slight coffee, lactose. Didn't sense much peanut butter here.
T: Delicious, just delicious - Milk chocolate upfront with peanut butter, dark fruits, molasses, coffee.
F: Heavy bodied beer, thick, oily, delicious, easy to drink. ABV is very well hidden and sips like a 6%.
O: This is quite delicious. Although I didn't get the peanut butter aroma this tasted just like it advertised and is really good. A really good after dinner dessert/milk stout in my opinion.
