A: crystal clear; mahogany in color; 1 finger finely pored tan head that receded to a moderate tight collar; nice lacing;

S: freshly roasted coffee;

T: toasted malt and coffee through the middle; bittersweet chocolate toward the end; some black coffee in the aftertaste; balanced through the middle, but moderately bitter at the end;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

O: a little more roast than is typical for an altbier, but very enjoyable;
