Quite different from your "typical" belgian tripels.
Not for the purists, but I'm glad I went out of my way to get it.

My last missing trappist brewery from the list. Great, but not really worth the hassle to get it. No ATP label, not brewed at the abbey itself.
Gold-amber, almost no foam.
Apples, honey, oranges, fruity, pleasant sweetness.
Surprisingly there is a touch of alcohol, even though it has 'only' 7 abv.

L: Clear, can see through (w/o the yeast bottom), nice 1 finger head, excellent lacing, golden in colour.
S: White bread, honey, red currant, pear, apple, some caramel.
T: Bread, caramel, honey, floral.
F: Nice balance of sweet & bitterness, medium body, abv is hidden, med/low carb, very smooth and easy drinking.
O: A bit different triple where the esters are bit subdued by the malty profile of the beer. I prefer this one without the yeast slur at the bottom of the bottle.

Dark golden colour, with an small golden head that fades leaving ad drop-lacing and a coat on the surface. Aroma is spicy and fruity, with oranges, peaches and hints of raisins. Medium body and creamy palate. Carbonation is OK, Taste is fruity, peaches, oranges, spices. Good beer.

From www.valdevegon.com. In La Trappe chalice. After dinner. With Valdevegon old cheese. Its more like a belgian pale ale than a tripel. Too soft, without sugary touch nor warming feeling. Very drinkable though. The cheese is superb, much better than the beer. 3.25 overall
9 Jun 2016: In La Trappe chalice. From Valdevegon. Playing Tomb Raider 2015. This 2nd batch is much better than the first. The hops seem much fresher.
