Four Stacks Brewing Company

What one may not notice about Four Stacks is, in my opinion, a huge differentiator: table service. Servers continually roam the tap room to ensure your beer glass does not remain empty unless you wish to pace yourself or closeout. There is no pressure to drink up, only great table service. Live music is usually quite good, eclectic, and many times, original. Food trucks rotate, as well as some of their beers. Four Stacks has been a great contribution to the Southshore area of the Tampa Bay area.

 

Stopped in late in a Sunday while on vacation. Great vibe and staff very helpful and friendly. Had non-craft beer drinkers with me and staff was helpful for them.

Simple place deceiving from the outside. Inside feels the way a brew pub should - its a working shop and very functional.

Had the Octopus Prime which was really nice. For second beer asked the bartender for a recommendation saying I wanted to try one of their Porters. Much to my delight he pulled a bomber of Bourbon Barrel Aged Castle Black from behind the bar. As good as any BBA porter or stout I've had. An absolutely incredible surprise I wasn't expecting while visiting the in laws at the retirement community!

Will be back again.

 

The staff is the best part about the place is the staff. They are super friendly and attentive. You won't get to under 1/3 of your glass before they will start recommending your next offering.

The beer is fair to good, but very few great offerings. Guest taps are average not highly sought after offerings, with only a few exceptions.

If you are looking for a place to watch the game and just hang out, it is the best place for 15 miles. But if you are looking to broaden your beer horizons with great brews... maybe not the place.
