Poured into Sam Smith pint glass
Pours 1/2 finger of creamy beige head. Fades down to a thin layer, but still leaves some splattered lace. Color is a hazed golden copper.
Aroma: Sharp caramel malts with some bread notes. Some faint earthy hops, but that is about it.
Taste: Big bready taste with some caramel notes as well. Some butter flavors mixed with some citrus. Very basic beer.
Mouthfeel: Smooth for the most part, a tad bitter, but hardly. Medium bodied with a decent amount of carbonation. Ends with a really sticky butter bread flavored aftertaste.
Overall, a very straight forward beer. Not to much going on. Fairly drinkable, but not something I would want to have all the time.

L: Pours an orange amber color with a medium sized and medium bodied off-white colored head that laces the glass nicely on the way down.
S: Smells of a nice sweet roasted and toasted malt base then a nice earthy/piney/citrusy aroma at the end.
T: Tastes of nice sweet roasted and toasted malts then a nice big but not overpowering earthy/piney/slightly citrusy hop flavor.
M: Very crisp, refreshing, very nicely carbonated.
D: Very drinkable, I liked this one. Good hop character throughout which was nice for a pale ale.

Nice looking reddish-orange color with an off-white head. THe head didn't ammount to much and quickly diminished to a thin ring arround the top of the beer.
Smells of earhty hops, some yeast. Seems a bit muddled.
Taste quite nice. Mild flavors with a nice bitter kick at the end.
Not the best mouthfeel. A bit watery for my liking, and most of the flavors fall off.
Quite drinkable, but not the best.
A decent example of the style, but given the cost $9 a sixer, I probably will stick with my go-to Pale Ales which I consider better brews at the same price. Still, might pick one up for variety now and again.

New Amsterdam beer is back! I used to drink their Amber at Yankee Stadium but they sold the rights to their name to New Amsterdam Gin.
This American Pale Ale is dry- hopped in small batches with Cascade Hops in New York (Not Maine).
Sierra Nevada fans take notice, this one is worth a shot if you can find one.

A: Poured out with a pathetic little white head. Barely covered the brew. What was present disappeared in no time. Color's a nice dark reddish copper but has some unappetizing particulate suspended in the glass.
S: Hoppy with a large odor of a homebrewy pale with far too much crystal malt. sweet and off-putting.
T: The hoppy nose gives way to that nasty homebrew taste. There's a bitter yeasty bread taste in the end. Any hops are lost in the jumble of off flavors.
M: Watery. Falls off the tongue and palate like they're made of teflon.
D: How in the world are these people in business.

Another new brewery for the state of Maine. This beer was an orange color with a medium-sized white head. Little bit of lacing. It had a nice citrus aroma, just not very pronounced. The taste, which was grapefruit, was also on the lighter side. This was a pleasant, albeit somewhat meek, beer/
