Listed on their menu as 5.4%. Enjoyed a full liter out on the “patio” with views of the cathedral. Super tasty amber lager with great drinkability. Rich, roasty malt typical of the style. Odd that it’s available in April but whatever, not mad about it.

This is a really smooth drinking and flavorful beer. Of the twenty Märzen I have tried, this one is by far the best. If you visit Heidelberg, be sure to try it.

Drank this on tap at the Brauhaus on March 13, 2009.
Like the other reviewers have said, the color is a deep copper color - almost like a bronze. Fantastic looking head and fairly good retention.
The nose isn't as pronounced as some other Märzens I've had, but the dominant scents were malty. This beer begs to be drunk. To me, the taste can only be described as clean. It's light and the mouthfeel isn't watery, but it isn't heavy, either.
This is one of my favorite beers that I have ever drunk. I could have drunk another, and another. In fact, it might be my new go-to beer at the Brauhaus Vetter, a place I've visited many times.

I had this on tap at the brauhaus on March 29, 2006.
A: Copper-gold; Fluffy off-white head, nice retention and lace.
S: Sweet caramel, with a little grassy spice.
T: Caramel & bread, with a nice, noble-hop spicyness. Very well balanced, and only slightly sweet (as the style dictates).
M: Light to moderate body is creamy. Carbonation is low to moderate. Very nice.
D: Exceptional.

Color was of a creamy dark and rich golden color with small off white head. A light hop profile and thick, abundant, and profound malt charteristics are apparent in scent as well as taste. This Märzen has a lighter body than its Western counterparts. It finishes extremely clean.
A winner from an awesome Brauerei-Brauhaus
Drank on site though Growlers are offered.
