Notes: Clear amber body beneath a pillowy white head. Very good head retention and lacing. Aroma: nutty, caramel, apple, some sulphur. Flavor follows with a more distinct graininess and some biscuit, as well as a touch of dried apricot. A median bitterness appears towards the finish with some moderate leafy/floral hops. Perhaps this is aptly named as it seems a basic "working mans" pint. Certainly not bad, but neither is it exciting.
