As a family, we were in KC for a Comicon and decided to visit some cool shops in Overland Park. Along the way we visited this brewpub for lunch. They had roughly twenty taps, a few of which were ciders or guest taps. I had an IPA and a Bitter, and my wife had the Hefe. Beers were solidly well made, and flavorful. Other than one small side room with an artsy vibe, the space is mostly industrial with thick high-top tables. The brewing equipment is behind a small screen in the main room. Food was prompt and tasty. I had a BLT. The service, however, was dour....unfriendly, frowning, and in a hurry.

Large room with a friendly and chill vibe, lots of parking across the street and surrounding the place.
About a dozen of their own on tap, include offering in several styles. I had a hazy IPA (surprise) and it was fruity, fresh and quite enjoyable.
Typical casual dining options, a fair amount of TVs on with the game being shown. Friendly folks behind the sticks is always a plus!
Warm and friendly crowd with a distinct Kansas City, welcoming community kinda feel, which is always a good thing!....cool place that is well worth a visit

Stopped by for lunch on a Thursday. Big indoor space with about 8 outside/patio tables. The beers were all very good and unique, too. Food was good, with some very inexpensive lunch deals. The server was very helpful and even gave our table a free crowler that had never been claimed. Certainly worth a stop if you're in OP.

Walking in the front door greets the patron with the large, cavernous, with brewery equipment open in the back - presumably for the brewing courses offered here. Bar features a dozen or so seats with the rest of the space full of high-top tables. TVs adorn 1/2 of the walls with a large projector screen used for trivia and sports games, when appropriate, making it a good spot for viewing the current game while drinking local craft beer. Entering the front door and turning right takes the patron back to the homebrewer's supply side with lots and lots of bulk, dry-bin storage containers. As I'm not a homebrewer, I'll leave it there. Service is good and friendly, even offering up a bit of conversation and samples despite the busy night. Selection included a good array of beers, including sours, lagers, IPAs and a simple stout. Each of the beers included some sort of flavor additive, steering them a little away from the 'traditional' side. Otherwise, the selection is good. Food is solid. Nothing special, but also not bad.

Cool hybrid spot that started out as a homebrew shop and brew on premise. Those elements still exist, with an added bar and kitchen.
Located in a former pharmacy building, Brew Lab is modern inside, with a large open area to the left, bar in the center, and homebrew shop to the right. Kitchen and brewery in back, with a pallet of malt sacks in the corner and small kettles for brewing classes along the far wall.
Beer selection included around 10 house beers in a variety of styles. I had a dry hopped kettle sour and it was pretty good. The real star was a guest draft from Black Labs, a dry mead with black raspberries that was like a full bodied red wine.
Service was good, they did have table service and our server was busy juggling a few tables solo. It took awhile to get the check but was otherwise fine.
Food was good, the BLT had candied bacon that almost had a toasted marshmallow note from the caramelized sugar. Pork sando wrap used smoked pulled pork that was a little dry but tasty. Several vegetarian and vegan options.
Overall this was an interesting place, nice to see an independent craft focused place in Overland Park that’s not a corporate chain. Also one that is so multifaceted, geared towards homebrewing but also a local bar and kitchen.

i think this is such a great thing to being to this area! its a brewery sure, with a taproom and a bar and all, but its also a learn to brew sort of place, where folks can come in, make a recipe, learn about the process from someone who knows whats up, actually brew a beer, have it ferment there, and then bottle it and take it home or whatever, super good idea, and they will do great things for making this part of kansas a lot beerier! the space looks brand new, high ceilings, brick and wood, a cool and clean minimalist vibe about it. two small homebrew set ups in the back, a brew in a bag station, and their own small system. the bar is cool and relaxed, and the service was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. they only had three or four of their own beers on though, still being real new and all. the belgian pale was the best by far of their own. they also have food in here, looked really tasty but i didnt eat. there is a homebrew shop on the other side of the bar too, so this really is a one stop shop kind of place. the beer for now is simple and decent, but the place is awesome and i love the idea of the community education. looking forward to seeing how it goes for them!
