Knicked from the Old Man's fridge in January 2023 and drunk in August that year.
L: Golden yellow; thin, bright-white head. Large bubbles move slowly up the glass.
S: Minerally, sweet, corn, butter.
T: Surprisingly bitter, with a floral hop note. The corn is evident in the palate and provides a sweet counter note to the bitterness. At the end of the day, this one tastes exactly as expected with a mainstream euro lager, but the bitterness would possibly make it a challenge for some of its target drinkers.
M: Reasonably full in the mouth with more than expected carbonic prickle for a lager clearly meant for hot-weather, recreational drinking.
O: I went into this not expecting much - this is a budget beer in a category already crammed with budget offerings - and while the beer didn't blow me away, its bitterness made it more enjoyable than it otherwise would have been. As noted, however, I suspect those who buy this bear wanting a cheap, inoffensive Euro lager might be in for a bit of a shock.
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
