NE-Style IPA poured from a crowler, canned at the brewery 08/18/17
Appearance - Pours hazy and dull orange with an off-white, half finger width head. Sub-par retention results in a mostly barren surface with a thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass. Not much for lacing; just a stray small spot here and there.
Smell - The aroma is sweet and juicy, with a hint of floral quality to it.
Taste - Juicy, but mild in flavor and acidity. Hints of citrus, stonefruit and a touch of mango can be found. Light floral flavor follows shortly. Same sweet, fruity is found in the finish, but with a hint of apricot revealing itself. Aftertaste lingers with a trace of nutty bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with light carbonation. Slick and silky; an easy drinker with a slight dryness in the finish.
Overall - Interesting NE-Style IPA. Though the overall flavor profile is mild it holds strong, never coming across as weak or watery. And though I do prefer my haze bombs with a bit more juicy zing, I'll have absolutely no problem finishing this crowler and maybe grabbing another pint or two while it's still on tap at the brewery.
