No canned date, but from the 02/17/18 can release
Appearance - Pours hazy and faded orange with an off-white, near finger width head. Good retention before dissipating to a thin, consistent layer of suds on the surface, thickening up around the edges. Fair lacing with broken lines and some spotting.
Smell - Grapefruit juice with some dank notes, nuttiness and faint pineapple.
Taste - The Simcoe sure does stand out here. Grapefruit and dankness with a bit of spice. Lesser juicy notes of orange, guava and pineapple sneak in mid-taste. Generic bready sweetness as well. The finish is bittersweet and lingers with some orange and grapefruit essence with a touch of stonefruit pit nuttiness.
Mouthfeel - On the fuller side of medium-bodied with moderate, tingly carbonation. Firm, chewy texture that goes down easy enough before a dry finish.
Overall - Pretty tasty NE-Style IPA, but those who seek the big-time tropical juice bombs may be disappointed; as with a lot of Claimstake's hazy's, this one draws a lot of influence from the classic West Coast style.
