From the 03/25/18 2nd Anniversary can release
Appearance - Pours hazy and faded yellow-orange with a frothy, near two-finger width head. Fair retention, bringing about a thin, broken layer of suds and a thin ring around the edge of the glass. Lacing displays a small amount of broken webbing and some small spotting.
Smell - Moderate citrus and stonefruit along with lesser green, leafy character.
Taste - Juicy notes of orange, guava and lesser apricot upfront with a hint of pineapple. Mid-taste brings a fair amount of stonefruit pit nuttiness and a touch of herbal dank. The finish adds a surprising amount of hop spice that becomes one of the mainstays of the aftertaste, along with continuing stonefruit character, light pineapple bite and a bit of citrus pith bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair, tingly carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with mostly dry finish.
Overall - An interesting and unique take on the hazy IPA style. Starts off nice and juicy before finishing much like a classic West Coast IPA.
