Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served in a pint, hazy and dull orange with a thin, broken layer of surface suds. Good amount of lacing with broken webbing and spotting decorating much of the glass.
Smell - Moderate aroma of juicy orange, grapefruit, and hints of pine. Faint stonefruit.
Taste - Follows the nose. Juicy citrus upfront before lesser, mild peach kicks in. Distant pineapple. Finish turns slightly bitter with grapefruit skin and a touch of pine dank, leaving a lingering juicy, bittersweet aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with fair, tingly carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a lightly warming and semi-dry finish.
Overall - Pretty damn good hazy DIPA. Like most Claimstake hazy offerings it's got a classic west coast edge to the flavor profile.
