Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a pint, dense and berry pink in color with a thin ring of suds lining the edge of the glass. Small spots and broken lines make up the lacing.
Smell - Sweet and tart raspberry character with very faint wheat.
Taste - Follows the nose. Initial tartness upfront before dying down a tad to reveal a raspberry sweetness and solid wheat underbody. Finishes much the same, with tart, sweet and wheat notes fading slowly.
Mouthfeel - Light in body with fair, bitey carbonation. Slick texture with a crisp, refreshing finish.
Overall - Pretty damn tasty brew, but how many berliner wiesses aren't? I may have this a few more times before it kicks, especially as the weather continues to get hotter.
