Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a tall pint, slight haze and golden orange in color with a thin, broken layer of suds. Fair lacing with some broken sheeting at the top, and small spotting found here and there.
Smell - Not much on the nose. Aroma touches on a touch of butteriness with faint floral and citrus.
Taste - Toasty, slightly buttery notes meet hops that deliver some floral, citrus and slightly grassy bitterness. It's a nice blend of flavor before fading in the finish, leaving behind a fair amount of ringing grassy bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Slick, slightly velvety texture makes this an easy drinker before a slightly dry finish.
Overall - Pretty tasty. Somewhat reminiscent of an Alpine IPA, but without the cat piss hops. Love that light buttery undertone.
