Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a pint, lightly hazed and golden yellow in color with a thin, broken layer of suds and a ring of suds around the edge of the glass.
Smell - Fair aroma. Citrusy and a little catty with hints of pine and spice.
Taste - Follows the nose. Bright citrusy notes. Hint of pine. Not much else.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with a crisp, dry finish.
Overall - Good drinking brew but lacks interesting flavor. Even this Imperial version of a 'Brut IPA' baffles me as to why this style is trending.
