Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a pint, hazy and mellowed orange in color with a thin, broken layer of suds and a thin ring around the edge of the glass.
Smell - Aroma hits on notes of pineapple, citrus and faint dank.
Taste - Follows the nose. Bitey, juicy pineapple upfront and throughout with some grapefruit and a touch of earthy dank surfacing near the finish. Aftertaste lingers with mostly white grapefruit pith and hints of the pineapple.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair, tingly carbonation. Drinks easy with a crisp, refreshing finish.
Overall - Tasty hazy, and hell of a flavor for a hazy pale. You might expect assertiveness like this from a IPA or DIPA and yet also drinks so easy, so very impressive.
