Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a pint, relatively clear and golden yellow in color with a thin, broken layer of suds. Good amount of lacing with broken webbing decorating most of the glass.
Smell - Orange and lemon zest mostly, with some bready sweetness. Faint pine.
Taste - Hops upfront, hitting on lemon/citrus peel, spice, floral and some grassy bitterness. Hints of earth and pine. Bready undertone that becomes more prominent as it warms and helps to balance that initial hoppy bitterness. Nice finish that delivers on citrus, some berry-like sweetness, earth and light bread.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with tingly carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a crisp finish.
Overall - Damn solid IPA, though to be honest it'd be hard to pick out of a line-up.
