Had in-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a pint, hazy and straw yellow in color with a thin, broken layer of suds covering the surface. Fair lacing with some broken webbing and small spotting.
Smell - Soft, fruity aroma with mild orange, peach, lychee, passion fruit and lesser guava.
Taste - Follows the nose. Notes of orange and peach skin upfront, distant pineapple and a small handful of faint tropical notes that develop as the brew warms; passionfruit, lychee and that touch of guava. Yeah, really fruity finish with a touch of grapefruit pith bitterness in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Medium inĀ body moderate, tingly carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a crisp, refreshing finish.
Overall - Damn good hazy IPA. One of the juiciest ones they've brewed to date.
