Poured from a crowler filled 12/21/18
Appearance - Pours cloudy and straw yellow in color with a white, near finger width head. Fair retention before dying down to a thin, consistent layer of suds. Good amount of lacing with broken sheeting, lines and small spotting.
Smell - Purely hoppy on the nose, with a super fruity, juicy and slightly spicy aroma. Some slightly yeasty bread aroma beneath that.
Taste - Follows the nose. Super juicy upfront and throughout. Citrus, papaya, pineapple, mango and a hint of peppery spice. Finishes much the same with a wham, then dies down gradually with lingering notes of fruity and peppery character.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Slick, slightly creamy and yet with a crisp and semi-dry finish.
Overall - Wow! Consider boiless Kveik yeast brews the wave of the 'juicy' IPA future. Super juicy and fruity, almost to a fault. fermented at 100 degrees and only a 2-day turn-around? My goodness. I can't think of a more revolutionary turn in brewing than this right now. It's truly impressive.
