Had on tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a pint, hazy and faded orange in color with a thin, broken layer of suds on the surface and a thick ring around the edges. Good lacing with broken sheeting, lines and small spotting.
SmellĀ - Straight juice on the nose, with orange, grapefruit, peach, light dank, papaya and mango.
Taste - Follows the nose. Orange and grapefruit citrus with lesser exotic flavors playing off that. Mild peach, lesser mango and papaya. Distant bready malt backbone and a hint of dank hits mid-taste. Finish is mildly pithy with lingering fruitiness.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair, bitey carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a crisp, semi-dry finish.
Overall - Really good hazy/unfiltered West Coast IPA. I hope there's some left after their 3-year anniversary!
