Had on tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a Willi pint, crystal clear and bright golden yellow in color with a thin layer of surface suds, thickening into a ring around the edge of the glass.Fair lacing with small chunks, broken lines and spotting.
Smell - Prominent hoppiness on the nose, with notes of citrus, pine and lesser earth and grassiness. Very faint breadiness.
Taste - More malty than the nose leads on. Cereal sweetness upfront and throughout. Hops come through in the finish with a touch of earth and a mild citrus pith bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Light-bodied with fair carbonation. Smooth drinker before a crisp, mostly dry finish.
Overall - Good for a blonde. There aren't many amazing ones out there, truth be told.
