Had on tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a pint, hazy and pale orange in color with a thin ring of suds around the glass. Good lacing with vertical streaks and spotting decorating the glass.
Smell - Yep, smells like a raw IPA. Citrusy, slightly tropical with some earthiness and yeast.
Taste - Follows the nose. Citrus hits first followed by hints of pineapple and mango. Moderate hay-like earthiness and yeast arrive mid-taste , giving the citrus and pineapple some competition in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Goes down fair enough but gets a bit chalky and dry in the finish.
Overall - Their 3rd effort into this radical 'Raw IPA' style, and while its good, I think the Ollag and Ivar were better. Just tapped though, so we'll see if it improves with time.
