Had on tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a 13oz snifter, hazy and yellow in color with a thin, broken layer of suds. Nice amount of lacing with a thick, broken ring at the top of the glass and big chunks decorating much of the glass.
Smell - Yeast, with mild tropical fruitiness.
Taste - Follows the nose. Yeasty, with hints of tropical fruit. Papaya and green banana might be my best descriptors for it.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied fair carbonation. Slick, slightly silky texture makes this a damn smooth drinker before a lightly dry finish.
Overall - Strange but tasty hazy IPA. Really crushable too.
