Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a pint, clear and golden orange in color with a thin, consistent layer of suds across the top. Not much for lacing; a few small spots.
Smell - Prominently dank with underlying citrus and sweetness.
Taste - Follows the nose. Strongly dank upfront and throughout, with underlying citrus and caramel sweetness. Almost a lime or lemony pith found in the finish and aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker before a crisp, dry finish.
Overall - Pretty dank West Coast IPA, and frankly not up my alley. Just way too dank for me, though the underlying sweetness and citrusy component helps.
