Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a pint, clear and golden yellow in color with a thin, broken layer of surface suds. A few broken lines and tiny spotting make up the lacing.
Smell - Bready, slightly grainy and with floral and spice hop notes.
Taste - Follows the nose. Bready malt taste with floral and lesser spice hop character adding to the taste by mid-taste and follow through into the finish.
Mouthfeel - On the fuller side of light-bodied with fair, tingly carbonation. Slick drinker with a crisp, mostly dry finish.
Overall - Pretty good imperial pilsner. Nice balance. Nice drinker on a hot day.
