Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Poured 10oz into a glass, black with cola brown edging and a mostly barren surface. Okay lacing, with a fee broken lines and a handful of small spots.
Smell - Deep, chocolatey aroma with plenty of mild vanilla sweetness.
Taste - Follows the nose. Deep chocolatey flavor with a nice vanilla flavor developing mid-taste and riding through to the finish. Faint hint of roast. Smooth chocolate and vanilla aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Full-bodied with low carbonation. Super creamy texture. Smooth as hell for 13%.
Overall - Flavor profile is simple, but deep and masterfully balanced. Nicely done.
