Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a Willi pint, fairly clear and golden in color with a thin, broken layet of surface suds and a razor thin ring around the edge of the glass. Not much for lacing, save a few broken lines and some small spots.
Smell - The aroma hits on some citrus, floral and dank qualities. Mild breadiness.
Taste - Floral and lesser dank upfront, with hints of orange popping up mid-taste. Touch of stonefruit pit nuttiness. Light, bready malt sweetness rides well beneath. Finish lingers with floral, dank and pithy notes.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker before a semi-dry finish.
Overall - Good IPA, though it doesn't do much to distinguish itself from your typical West Coaster. Certainly drinkable, but nothing I'd venture out of my way to get.
