Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a 13oz snifter, murky and dirty orange in color. Barren surface. No lacing.
Smell - Coffee, cream, caramel and a bit of chocolate.
Taste - Initial roast that's met quickly by sweet milk chocolate, cream and residual sugar. Sweet finish with a hint of coffee lingering.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with low carbonation. Slick, creamy texture with a smooth, easy finish.
Overall - Way more sweet than I like coffee beers to be. Sorta reminds me of those bottled Starbucks coffee products.
