Canned 03/18/20
Appearance - Pours clear and golden in color with an off-white, near two-finger width head. Good retention before dying down to thin, broken layer of suds with a fair ring encircling the edge of the glass. Fair lacing, with some small patches, broken lines and spotting found on the glass.
Smell - Floral and leafy on the nose with mild citrus and a hint of green pine.
Taste - Mellow, but interesting. Flavors are kind all over the place, but also somehow harmonious. Touches of floral and leaf character, lesser citrus notes, touch of coconut mid-taste, and even some pine and grass as the hop profile rounds out. Malts are mostly hidden, but a trace of bread and caramel sweetness . Even pick up a hint of mint in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Smooth, with a light velvet or creaminess to the texture, making this a wonderful drinker before a touch of dryness in the finish.
Overall - I did some research and see they used Sabro hops for this beer. Never heard of it before, but man does it provide a roller coaster ride of hoppy flavors! Unique hop, and I'd like to see it combined with something like mosaic or Styrian Cardinal in a hazy to really make a strange, possibly delicious brew.
