Poured from a crowler filled 4/4/20
Appearance - Pours with a fair amount of haziness and orange in color. White, half finger width head that dissipates rather quickly, leaving behind a mostly barren surface with a fair ring around the edge of the glass. A few broken lines and spotting make up a minimal lacing.
Smell - I'm picking up fresh orange, , hints of pineapple, pine/dank and slight floral character.
Taste - Follows the nose. Starts with orange and a splash of pineapple before shifting to some pine/leaf/dank mid-state. Slight mango near the finish. Fairly balanced. Aftertaste lingers with orange juice, pith and a hint of dank.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Smooth, mostly slick before a semi-dry finish.
Overall - Claimstake definitely loves that bit of dank in most of the hazies they make, and this one is no exception. I'm not a dank guy, so this one is a little out of my wheelhouse, though it has it's qualities I like. Regardless, this brew was made for a special cause. Here's to Keith and his fight against ALS, cheers!
