Canned 10/6/20
Appearance - Pours relatively clear and deep ruby-violet in color. Pink, near finger width head that fizzes away quickly, leaving a barren surface. No lacing.
Smell - Nice mix of the huckleberry and blueberry playing off each other, with tart, sweet and earthen berry notes, while a creamy vanilla character just behind the berry adds some real intrigue.
Taste - Follows the nose, and then some. Earthen and sweet blueberry meets the tarter huckleberry zing, creating a wonderful berry experience that dances on the tongue well into the aftertaste. Creamy vanilla rides beneath, but really adds a wonderful base for the berry notes to play off of, especially as it rounds out in the finish. Aftertaste lingers for days, and is pure, balanced bliss of the continuing sweet and tart berry zing and the creamy vanilla. So, so good.
Mouthfeel - Near-full bodied with fair carbonation. Silky, creamy texture that holds firm; really plays up to the flavors here. Dangerously Smooth. 9%, but goes down like 5%.
Overall - I love this beer. My favorite of 2020, thus far. Such awesome flavor, balance and goes down so smooth and creamy. Reminds me a bit of Tillamook Marionberry pie ice cream, particularly the aftertaste.
