Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a willi pint, clear and deep amber in color, with a broken layer of suds on the surface, thickening to a ring around the edge of the glass. Nice lacing, with some blotches, streaks and small spotting.
Smell - Sweet, floral aroma with hints of toast and cereal grain.
Taste - Follows the nose. Light toast upfront, then sweeter cereal notes, with fair nuttiness and a floral hop character throughout. Finish adds a tinge of citrus.
Mouthfeel - Light in body with fair, tingly carbonation. Slick, smooth drinker before a crisp, mostly dry finish.
Overall - Solid amber lager. Drinks easy, with just enough flavor to keep it interesting.
