Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a Willi pint, crystal clear and pure gold in color. Lacing is fair, with thin webbing, broken lines and small spotting.
Smell - Mosaic hops hit the nose with citrus, and their unique hint of funk. Faint bread beneath.
Taste - Follows the nose. Mosaic dominant. Citrus. Pineapple. Slight earthen funkiness. Underlying bready sweetness. Finish has character not dissimilar to that of overripe orange.
Mouthfeel - Light to medium in body with fair carbonation. Slick, smooth drinker before a slightly dry finish.
Overall - Solid WC IPA. Mosaic is definitely the star here over the CTZ.
