Canned 01/21/21
Appearance - Pours clear and golden yellow in color, with a white, pillowy finger width head. Good retention beforesettling to a thin, broken layer of suds,
Smell - Tropical aroma with hints of fresh leaf and black pepper.
Taste - Follows the nose. Passionfruit and lesser orange before some green leaf and black pepper notes come into play. Fair, clean bready malt backbone. Maybe a touch of berry in there at the end. Aftertaste lingers with touches of fruit, pith and spice.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Smooth, slick texture makes for a clean, easy and refreshing finish.
Overall - Not always a fan of single hop IPAs, but this one is a clear exception. Strata hops probably have a lot to do with that, because they deliver a really nice array of flavors just by their lonesome. I will have to try this on tap soon. Well done, Claimstake!
