Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a Willi pint, crystal clear in color and bright orange in color with a white, broken film across the surface, thickening up around the edge of the glass. Fair lacing with very thin, broken sheets, some lines and a few spots.
Smell - Bright citrus and a bit of pith, underlying herbal quality and a hint of apple.
Taste - Follows the nose. Bright citrus hits first, limey almost, along with a bit of pith bitterness. Mid-taste brings some underlying herbal notes and hints of apple, while the finish adds traces of peach. Mild bready malt undertone. Aftertaste lingers with mostly with moderate pith bitterness.
Mouthfeel - On the lighter side of Medium-bodied, with fair, lightly bitey carbonation. Slick, easy drinker before a crisp, bone dry finish.
Overall - Really solid, tasty West Coaster that showcases just what the Calypso hops bring to the table. I could stand to drinks few more of these.
