From tasting notes 7/1/21
Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a wili pint, opaque and salmon in color, with a thin, broken layer of suds covering the surface. Lacing consists of some broken webbing, lines and small spots. Also, some sediment from the guava used.
Smell - Fair guava aroma, along with a bit of grapefruit peel, faint leaf and a some floral quality.
Taste - Guava upfront and throughout, but subtle enough to allow some of the hop notes to come through. Certainly some citrus bitterness, hint of pine and floral character, and maybe even a light mint note?
Mouthfeel - Medium-ti-full in body with fair carbonation. Texture is firm, smooth and a bit creamy. Slightly dry finish.
Overall - Nice. Just enough guava to let you know its there, without taking over the brew completely, allowing a lot of the hop qualities to shine through.
