From tasting notes 10/15/21
Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up 10oz into a snifter, semi-clear and golden yellow in color with a thin, broken layer of suds.
Smell - Big citrus on the nose, with a hint of earth. Caramel.
Taste - Starts with prominent candied orange character, while a bit of green leaf adds some bright earthiness. Solid caramel malt base. Touch of grapefruit pith in the finish, giving a bit of balance to the sweeter citrus notes in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Full in body with moderate carbonation. Slick, dangerously smooth drinker at 10.5% before a dry, warming finish.
Overall - Another great Triple IPA from Claimstake. First day tapped; it should get a bit better with a few weeks of maturity. Cans were purchased and consumed!
