Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a willi pint, slight haze and light golden in color. Island of suds found floating atop with a firm ring hugging the outer edge. Nice lacing with thick, broken webbing, lines and some light spotting.
Smell - Bright, hoppy aroma. Lemony with lesser oat character. Fair pine.
Taste - Follows the nose. A blend of lemony hop with some lesser pine upfront and throughout. Mid-taste brings a touch of peach. Malts bring an oaty undertone. Light pithy bitterness comes through in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Light to medium in body with fair, crisp carbonation. Smooth, slightly velvety texture lends to deliver a quenchable experience.
Overall - Very solid. I'm not too huge on the flavor profile, but it's still well executed and layered nicely. Would drink again, and a solid, if not spectacular newly minted flagship for Claimstake Brewing. +
