Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a can-shaped glass, semi-clear and golden yellow in color with an island of suds floating on the surface and a thin, consistent ring hugging the edge. Nice lacing with several bands, some webbing and spotting.
Smell - Bright, tropical aroma with a hint of cattiness. Guava, citrus, pineapple.
Taste - Follows the nose. Tropical fruitiness upfront with tangerine, lesser pineapple, passionfruit and guava. A bit of peppery spice mid-taste. Crackery malt undertone. Finish continues with the tropical flavors, while adding in a touch of citrus pith bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair, tingly carbonation. Slick, smooth drinker before a crisp, semi-dry finish.
Overall - Tasty IPA and quite crushable to boot. I hope they make this again.
