Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a can shaped glass, clear and golden yellow in color. Island of suds in the center on the surface, with a thick ring encircling the outer edge. Fair lacing, with some broken lines and spotting.
Smell - Floral, tropical and lightly citrusy hops. Bready sweetness sot beneath.
Taste - Follows the nose. Floral notes before a bit of papaya and when some grapefruit and a light spice. Generic bready malt undertone.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair, lightly tingly carbonation. Slick drinker before a semi-dry finish.
Overall - Solid IPA. While note quite in my wheelhouse, it does have an interesting flavor profile, and it's a smooth drinker.
