Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a can-shaped pint glass, crystal clear and pure gold in color. Thin, broken layer of suds, developing a small ring around the outer edge of the glass. Great lacing with sheeting, thick webbing, lines and small spotting.
Smell - Fruity and lightly dank, with a hint of crackery malt aroma.
Taste - Follows the nose. Starts with orange, passionfruit, lesser pineapple and a touch of dank pine. Melon develops mid-taste. Crackery malt backbone. Finishes adds a hint of grapefruit pith.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fairly lively carbonation. Slick, smooth drinker before a crisp, drying finish.
Overall - Solid "juicy clear" IPA.
